After a work trip to nearby Harwell research campus, the sun dipping behind the trees was a welcome site, walking back along the canal.
A few locks later and we arrive at Claydon…

Hardwick Lock (Lock 28) is a couple of hundred yards from the M40.

Just the other side of the M40, and a bit further up the hill, is Little Bourton Lock (Lock 27). The Sun finally came out and lit up the brick “steps” which trace the arc of the lock gates. When opening or closing the gates, these provide a foothold to push against and avoid slipping over.

Finally moored up for the evening, the Sun obligingly provides a show.
